Annecy, and La Bauche, France

In July, I had brunch with two of my friends. During our meal, I shared with them my plans for my sabbatical. They mentioned that they would be flying back to the States on August 26, 2023. Given that I'd be arriving in the UK on August 24, 2023, I had a spontaneous idea. If I could find an affordable ticket, and if they were okay with it, I'd visit them. Fortunately, I found a reasonably priced ticket, and they were on board with the idea. So, the day after landing in the UK, I headed to Geneva, Switzerland. They picked me up there, and we drove to Annecy, France, for lunch. Later, we traveled to La Bauche, where I spent the night at his parents' house.
