In January, when I was in India with my family, my brother was telling me about Texas Monthly BBQ list. We specifically chatted about Goldee’s. We were talking about taking a trip there. It just happened to workout my brother had to go to Texas for work, towards the end of his work trip, I flew out there so we can have some Texas BBQ amongst other things.
Texas BBQ is another level! I now understand why Texas Monthly has a top 50 list of BBQ in Texas only. The plan was to go to Goldee’s, however, we realized we were close to Panther City BBQ. So that’s where we had dinner on Friday.
After BBQ, we needed take a walk. My brother found that the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens was open, so that was our next stop.
After the botanical gardens, we headed back to hotel to relax before we headed to the Stockyards area in Fort Worth. At the Stockyards, we checked out what the area offered before going to a rodeo.
Then we hit the rodeo
On Saturday, we finally went to Goldees. We got on line at 7:15 AM and we were the fourth group on line. As a reminder, Goldees opens up at 11:00 AM
